Not every greenhouse gas is created equal March 31st, 2021

It has occurred to be that there are material differences between greenhouse gases.

CO2 is about the transition from low-capital agricultural economies, through capital-intensive industrialisation, to a high-capital developed state.

Methane is about lifestyle. A desire for ruminant protein in particular. Take a look at the tonnes of GHG emissions per tonne of protein chart.

Methane does however, have a greater impact if reduced.

The energy transition is embedded in infrastructural capital.

Methane requires only changes to the protein choices we make.
